AC Moore is having another sale!
It is through Tuesday so I should be up and running again by then!
And I lucked out-NO SCHOOL TONIGHT! I wasn't going to go anyways and dreaded knowing I would miss so much. But the teacher (get well soon Diane!) is sick and the class in canceled. So I am breathing a huge sigh of relief. So I can continue my vegetating ways......
No class again until the 13th! ( A little break!) But we may have to make up tonights miss over April vacation so... ah well.

sorry so long
Since the last update. I have had a very busy month as is every March.
Plus I have the flu and when not vegetating on the couch I am getting a drink to go back and vegetate on the couch. So- no stitching. And as some of you may have noticed I haven't been on the computer much either.
But I have had some goodies in the mail, which will probably take some time to catch up on so here's a little tidbit...
Yesterday I received the March CrossStitcher from Ami, thanks so much!
I have accumulated a large stack of threads to go out to my floss kids, but until I am better I won't be making any trips to the post office. My apologies. (And who wants contaminated threads anyways?)

it's wednesday!
SBQ was suggested by Carol
"Have you ever participated in a needlework mystery (i.e., a design that you started before knowing how it will look in the end and by which you receive parts of the design via the internet, magazines, or leaflets at spaced intervals)? If so, why did you decide to do the mystery? What appealed to you about it? Did you enjoy it? If you have not done a mystery, would you ever do one? "
No I have never done one, but after receiving an issue of a US mag (which I have for the most part outgrown) I have been thinking about it. It appears to be a four part one and I was intrigued -being a Pamela Kellogg design... But it may mean buying an issue or two as I am near the end of the subscription and am unsure if I want to start it at all because of that.
I normally like to have a reference, a picture or something to compare to as I stitch so it may be just a matter of comfort- if I am willing to just jump in and see.
Now a RR of a mystery could be cool if it were 'smallish'....

I have to pinch myself to make sure it's true!
Two magazine subscriptions, what will I do?
Wait eagerly each month, for prizes galore,
Kits, patterns, notions... Arrive at my door!
Sorry, I was reading Green Eggs and Ham to my daughter, so I am stuck in the rhythm!
But in a nutshell- My first issues will arrive next month it seems-*sigh*
As a bonus Val will let me know when she receives hers so I know when to start a look out for mine.......
HAPPY DANCE! ~no not a finish, but this is pretty good!~

Jingle Bells Update
Pardon the unedited pics, but....

I have the eyes and backstitching left to finish. And no idea how long it will take. I learned not to try and guesstimate- I am always off, esp if I have to frog and redo.

This is the back, before I make it look terrible with the backstitching.
Is this typical? How does it look?
And I tried the loop method for a few of them, it's quite easy! Surprised me!

SBQ
Do you stitch "over one?" If so, describe your experiences. If not, have you considered it?
No I haven't. But when it comes time- I plan to leave my July Amethysts' face last and see what I decide then. Considering I haven't started her yet. It'll be awhile !

Borders has it in for me!
That's what it is! I went in again today, probably the 6th time in 2 weeks and still no mags! Nothing! I am after CrossStitcher, Q&E, World of Cross Stitching and /or Crazy- any of the March issues and still nothing!
I have gone in each time with money see the connection?
*If I have money they don't have the magazines.
*No money and they have them all! Ugh!

Here's the bright side
AC Moore
I made up for it by buying two of the Q snap frames. Hee hee. And one with a coupon of course! I wouldn't be me if I paid full price now would I?
.... So with boxes for Laura, a frame I have been looking for for son's martial arts certificate and more -I went home a little happy.

Note to all, AC Moore had freshly restocked DMC threads- linens, light effects and so on.

Noticed
I have just noticed I have a huge list of bookmarked blogs that I check and haven't added them here! I am amazed at what people have done. Humbling.
Also-I have realized I sort of answer the SBQ in others' comments sections,
1.) sorry
2.) I'll make it easier on myself! I'll do it here!
It'll give me something to blog on besides my 'stash hungry ways' for a change. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I have requested to be added to the stitching bloggers webring.....

Bad news
Got some bad news while at school last night. Yes, I peeked during class at my blog and got a message telling me to check my email before seeing Outi's blog- this is why...
You can see the pics first hand here. Now we know why it took over a month to get to her. We have agreed that the US Postal Service's machines are jealous because they can't stitch. That's why they ate those beautiful patterns.
"If the USPS had just let the machines stitch- this would have never happened"

My Current WIP

Hi Ami, this is what I have been working on here and there. I want to get it finished up (have the hat, bells and backstitching left :) ) For my baby niece Olivia! I will ship it to my brother, as soon as it is 1.) finished and 2.) I figure out how exactly to make it into a nice ornament. Yes I know a bit late but it is the thought that counts right?
Oh, and the details:
Fabric: 28 ct white Monaco evenweave
threads: DMC
Pattern: Patternsonline called Jingle Bells
Cute, huh? And proof that I stitch...;) *smile*

I will be loading her up with DMCs for the year!

caught up for now
All caught up for now with what needs to be sent as swaps with others..... >Whew! I think the Postal workers are going to know me by name pretty soon if they don't already!
Zoom- threads and beads off to Australia.
Zoom- threads off to England.
Zooming- "goodie" to Germany (and you thought I'd slip Selina!).
Zooming- papers to England.
And with a magazine on the way from Mexico there will soon be an envelope to Mexico as well!
I love this! I have learned more about the world around me since joining EMS than ever before.
Update on Needleroll exchange:
I am now finally decided, I have changed tactics since receiving mine and thankfully have a reference by looking at Dorothy's. It's a good one I think! Sssshhhhh! ha ha

Reviews...
I have just realized that I have not really kept with the reviews. I am trying to decide if i should try and list what I own or pick here and there. By listing someone may have one in mind and be curious or what have you.
Ideas?
