exchange update, whoops!
Here it is! Dorothy received her hand dyed piece from me in the mail. She let me know it had arrived and I forgot to post the final picture here! Duh! The marbling isn't what I had hoped it would be. But it's not too bad for a first try I guess. I was trying to be careful not to go too dark. The details: 15" x 18" piece of 32 count linen by Charles Craft.

Looks great. :)
I may have gone blind with all hemstitching I have done today, but I don't see that marbled effect. O_o
The marbling is tough. I haven't figure it out yet, myself. You should talk to Dawn (Crafter's Creations), she dyes her own fabric. Maybe she will share her secret on how to get that nice marbling she gets. If she does, please let me know! :D

it's barely there.

Its a lovely colour anyway, well done :)
By the way, one way to achieve better marbling is less liquid and dry fabric (even better if it's crumpled) - and do not move it while dyeing.
