? Quin's

Has anyone ever used Quin's? If so, what did you think?
I am looking to shed some stash but keep hearing worse and worse things about eBay. Had thought about posting a Market Booth at SanMan Originals, but I want to do this is simply as possible, hopefully not losing any money, and reducing stash.
I have a stack of very nice patterns I just will not do.
Any thoughts?

eBay has, in my opinion, gone downhill, but it still has its uses. I've not heard of Quins. Good luck!

I have never sold anything on Quin's Auction site but I have purchased from there before and have never had a problem.

As far as selling cross stitch charts, I usually upload pictures of what I want to sell to an album on photobucket and add prices. Then I post a sale message and a link to my album on the message board. People can go and check out what I have for sale and can e-mail me if there is something they are interested in. This has worked well for me in the past.
Good Luck!

How do you figure in shipping Kim?

For shipping, I try to charge as close to actual cost as possible. This is what I do and so far it has been pretty close. I take the items that the buyer wishes to purchase and weigh them on my diet scale. I ask them for their zip code and then go to the post office website, (www.usps.com)click on calculate postage and enter the information. I have found this to be pretty accurate when calculating postage in the US but if I have to send out of the country, I take it to the PO and have them give me a price for shipping. Hope this helps and if you ahve any more questions give me a holler :)

...but I don't have a diet scale. My bathroom scale is waaaay off.
I had thought about purchasing a post office scale (I think it's about $30).
I always want to cover shipping as close as possible. I just want to be careful that I don't lose money in shipping.
And thank you for answering me Kim! :)

You can get a small postal scale from Walmart for $20. Just check the aisle with shipping items in it, usually near the stationary.

Thanks Jenna! I think I might be near WalMart tomorrow. (Need some ink and paper, too.)
