Here is my son's scarf, it has grown a bit. There are a few blurbs in it, mistakes and one knot (it was in the yarn itself, not my doing, weird) I just kept on trucking with it. I think a week or two with an active eight year old will do a number on it too. So no sense in aiming for ultimate perfection.

It's great Angela. Do not worry about knots in yarn. Happens all the time to me ;) I usually go over them, too.
Looking good, if you ask from me. :)
Its coming out good.
It is looking really good. I agree when it is for an 8 year old, there is no reason to make it perfect. From the pic, I can not tell there are any mistakes though and I am sure it will look great on him!!
Beautiful... so when are you making me one? *ducks and grins* Seriously, you are doing so well. *hug*
Very nice! You know, those 'features' will allow him to know that any given black scarf is his, and not someone else's!
BTW, those knots aren't that uncommon, even with pricey yarn. Technically, you're supposed to cut those out because they might separate and cause your design to unravel!
I was sure I had left a reply to this and your other scarf, sorry that I didn't!! Anyway, both your scarves look really good to me, well done you! :)
