This is my daughter's fish, her bday present summer of '09. His name is Hellboy. He's still with us, which is pretty cool considering betas aren't known for having a long life. Anywho, this is when she first got him.

This is Hellboy now. He's grown and gotten so much frillier.
Not too shabby for a Walmart fish. Lesson learned though, after hearing how "well" their fish are treated there, if/when we get a new fish- we'll probably go somewhere else. ( accidentally left the flash on so when the camera went off he got pretty mad at me)

I remember a friend who had a betta and an angel fish in the same tank. What a nightmare! The betta sure didn't seam like a fighting fish and the angel fish was a holy terror!
I doubt fish are treated very well anywhere, are they? We have an indestructible female guppy that I am very fond of. :)
