Lana received her ornament from me from the Ornament Exchange through Linabear. I made a card to match, though not at what I had wanted to. Hard to explain... I should have hit the store with ornie in hand and picked accordingly. But I still managed to make it a set.
the details:
Victorian Red Aida, 18ct (through Silkweaver)
DMC Light effects Precious metal thread E168(5283)
The tassle I made using DMC 814, which matches the fabric quite nicely.I used a bit of the same LE in the tassle and loop hanger.
This was my first real ornament, first tassle and first time ever using the blackwork style.
I will definitely be doing more blackwork. It's fun and relaxing. After a while I didn't even need to look at the pattern which was sort of a freeing experience.
I surprised myself by not blabbing too much anyways here, the guessing is half the fun in an exchange. (If you are wondering I did a little here and here. ;) )
Received from Ariel
All the way from Australia! The fabric in the ornament is just gorgeous! She even stiched beads onto it as well!
And if anyone is wondering, yes , the candy is already gone.

Great ornaments, sent and received! I'm glad that you were able to make such a perfect match in floss to the fabric that you used. :)
Blackwork(ing) is a ball, don't you think? :) (I tweaked my technique a bit and I think we might be buddies with it again - have to try it though, when ever I've time)
And they both look good. :)
P.S. I'm still bothered by the fact that I should know where that design is from. :P
